Tlingit Homeland Energy Limited Partnership (“THEL”) is working closely with Jim Dent Construction Ltd (“DENT”) to ensure the community of Atlin is kept informed and up to date on Project activities. We have now received the necessary permits and approvals to commence the Pine and Spruce Creek Bridge installation. It is important to stress that these works do not equate to the beginning of construction for the Project. These works are preliminary activities only. The Project permitting continues to be advanced with the province and respective stakeholders.

The scopes of works being performed at this time will be kept strictly within applicable permits
and existing tenures. These works include:

  • Pine and Spruce Creek Bridge Installation
The Pine and Spruce Creek Bridge installation will include removal of the existing Pine Creek Bridge, retrofitting it with new components and installing it in a new location on Spruce Creek. A new longer bridge will be installed in its place over the Pine Creek. These works will occur under the existing Ministry of Forest and Department of Fisheries and Oceans permit and will follow the Navigable Waters Act. There will be equipment mobilization to and from site for these works, as required. During this program, the bridge will be removed and be impassable from Feb 28 to April 30th, 2026, on the Powerhouse Road.

  • SURVEY & LAYOUT
These planned survey works will include establishing survey control across the proposed Project alignment and preliminary layout of the project footprint and landmarks. These works are non-invasive and will utilize existing access. The intent of this work is to field proof the existing design layout, identify any potential conflicts and / or optimizations.
